Final front cover
I tried many different colours for the banner/title, I decided to go with red because it's more iconic and stands out more than black although it's conventional for magazines to change the colour of the title from time to time. I also tried many different arrangements of the sell lines. I made sure no text covered the image so that they were easily readable. I also changed the colour of the sell lines so there was a clear balance between red and black and made sure the red sell lines were clear enough in contrast to the background. I finally decided to keep my original cover image because I feel it works well, it uses direct mode of address, follows Janice Winship's model theory and is in perfect proportion to the rest of the copy and title.
